Nord-Norge, or North Norway in English, is the geographical region of northernmost Norway. It is formed by three counties (fylke): Nordland, Troms and Finnmark.
There are extreme variations in daylight between winter and summer. During the winter, the nights in the North of Norway are like a wild but silent party: the Northern Lights. And lately humpback whales and orcas have been gathering in Nord-Norge’s fjords for a couple of months in mid-winter following the herrings and performing a show for those lucky enough to be in the area.
