Brings you the best marine ecotourism experiences in Europe

Pedra do Leao is one of the many, great diving sites you can find in Sesimbra. Depending on the sea conditions, divers are advised to make their descent along one of the sides of the rock, for opportunities to observe amazing colonies of anemonae, as well as the numerous colourfull sponges. These anemonae reproduce by dividing themselves giving way to two new identical anemonae, producing densely populated groups of fantastic colors. In the underwater passage, big schools of sea-bream, pout and pollacks thrive on the current. An extraordinary diving site for those who enjoy macro photography!
