Many tales of myth and mystery surround Rathlin. Perhaps the most famous tells of Robert the Bruce - in 1306 the Scottish King was driven from Scotland by Edward I of England and took refuge on Rathlin, where he watched a spider persevering repeatedly to bridge a gap with its web. Eventually it succeeded. Taking heart from the spider's efforts, he returned to Scotland and eventually regained his crown.
On this 3-hour tour of Rathlin Island you will learn about this and other stories, while enjoying the stunning beauty of its landscapes and amazing bird life. We will take the 11am ferry from Ballycastle and spend a full day at Rathlin in which we will visit RSPB's bird sanctuary, take a two-hour circular walking tour of the island, have lunch and even stop for a visit at Rathlin's local museum.
This tour is a full day departing Ballycastle at 11am and returning at 4.15pm.
Please note that at least 4 participants are required for the trip to run.
Price is inclusive of ferry, bird sanctuary visit and bus and a 2hr circular walking tour, including a stop at the museum.
