Brings you the best marine ecotourism experiences in Europe
Mark is the owner of Dalriada Kingdom Tours and its principal guide. He has an ONC Diploma in Tourguiding and Worldhost skills, and he is a licensed guide with Tour Guides Northern Ireland. He is an experienced guide on County Antrim's scenic coastline where he has worked for The National Trust, and other private companies before forming his own company. He conducts executive level guided walking tours for small groups up to 6 people at Northern Ireland's most iconic sites: The Giants Causeway and it's Cliff paths are where he calls home. He can show you many of the hidden gems across the shoreline that many other guides simply do not know about. He has blended a mix of old traditional methods with modern techniques to provide a personal, professional experience. He is the third generation of his family to guide in the area and has 125 years of family history to call upon to authenticate his stories! That and the support of his neighbours and friends, the people who make up the very fabric of the area. His stories have heart and soul and provide an insight into how County Antrim has been shaped and formed by its people as much as it has shaped and formed them.

What to expect?

When you walk with Mark, you will be walking with the only private local guide working in The Giant's Causeway area and the third generation of his family to guide in the area. He has the support of neighbours and friends to showcase this area to the world.

Taught over the years by conservation experts, older local guides and educated himself by obtaining an ONC Diploma, he has an extensive knowledge of the areas flora and fauna, it's wildlife and bird life and most importantly it's marine life.
The waters of the North Atlantic Ocean are home to an outstanding array of marine life and Mark can identify them to you as they present. Sightings of grey seals, bottlenosed dolphins, porpoises and basking sharks are a regular occurrence during any tour.
When you walk with Mark you will also learn about the areas rich cultural, social and economic history as well as, about Celtic mythology, legend and folklore.

His knowledge comes from the people who make up the very fabric of this area -  "the people of the shore" - and he is proud to be one of them.
